Occupational Health provision will be appropriate for the particular hazards of your workplace as well as the needs of your organisation, however, no matter the size of your organisation, AbbottBurke will work in partnership with you - protecting people and reducing costs. Your goals are our goals.
You and your company will have a designated Case Manager. AbbottBurke's Occupational Health Nurse Advisers (OHNAs) will work in your organisation, full time, part time or on an ad hoc basis, delivering OH services to meet the needs of your organisation. At all times when your OHNA is not on site you will have access to their Occupational Health & Safety Helpline.
All AbbottBurke's OHNAs are professionally supported in their roles and kept up to date with current training and best practice.
The AbbottBurke mobile unit provides customised accommodation and equipment to undertake the full range of health surveillance and assessment, including an audiometric booth.
Health surveillance / screening
Employee health assessments may fall into 3 categories;
-
Fitness to work (including pre-employment health screening) - where defined standards determine an individual's fitness to work.
-
Health surveillance to ensure that specific occupational hazards are not causing employee ill-health.
-
Health screening - that may not be a legislative requirement but acts as an early indicator of health issues allowing early intervention which is regarded by employees and employers as a benefit.
Attendance at work
AbbottBurke can assist you to actively manage absence from work and make a measurable difference. They will lead you through a process that involves;
-
Early intervention
-
Early return to work because it aids both mental and physical recovery
-
Workplace adjustments that enable workers to return to work more quickly. 100% fitness is not necessarily a pre-requisite to working. This will be supported by succinct timely and relevant reports which will be provided.
Mental / Physical well being
Both the physical and mental well being of employees have an effect on their health at work, their work may also be affected by their health. AbbottBurke will assist you to engage with your employees and motivate them to achieve a healthier, more productive life both in and out of work. Occupational Health professionals are in a unique position for the early identification of individual and group health and lifestyle issues.
